I came with family for a ghost tour, meal and a night stay. We waited far too long for food and when it arrived, 2 people had virtually raw burgers! The food was taken away and that was it, no offer of a different meal or refund! The carpets need updating badly as they are stained and worn down. The bar does not serve food, not even, a sandwich and there are no nearby shops. We had to make do with peanuts or crisps. The ghost tour didn't last as long as it was supposed to, so that was disappointing. I would not recommend this place to anyone and i will not be returning here

Fantastic place and wonderful kind people, our favourite is the theatre inside and we love the garden statues

What a lovely, charismatic place. Shame it was closed when we arrived, not sure when it actually opens. There is a large car park and fabulous grounds to enjoy adjoining the castle. Definitely worth visiting, we will be returning soon.

Although not yet open to book a room for us with our little dog, they were incredibly helpful with directing us to some other properties who accept dogs. absolutely amazing customer service! would definitely visit them when they open hopefully soon

We had planned our wedding here in July 2020 but unfortunately due to Covid19 we ended up having to cancel. It's such a shame we didn't get to spend the day at this castle as we had a tour of the castle and grounds & they were both breathtaking. On top of that we also tasted the wedding breakfast (both me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the lamb and beef option!) The most impressive part of the experience however had to be the staff and service without a doubt. Even before we had paid any deposit the staff were so kind and helpful showing us around or answering any questions straight away via email and phone. As stated unfortunately we had to end up cancelling but the staff were so helpful at making the refund process as easy as possible and polite throughout. Thank you so much Adrianne and Nicola for all your help !
