We’ve camped all over Scotland in the last 10 days. Some very modern sites, some a little more basic and even one night of ‘wild’ camping. We’ve loved every minute of it. That is until we were “greeted” by someone so focused on what one must not do at Nydie that I think she may have missed the whole point of being there. Let’s be nice and assume the “greeter” was having a bad day and wanted to make sure we didn’t have a great one either.
First time being there. Local to St Andrews and other local towns.
Local village pub is to die for good food and friendly atmosphere.
Site itself has a park and football pitch, so kids can mingle to allow time for us parents to just sit back and relax and admire the views.
Outstanding customer service booked us last min.com with hook up . Woke up to one of the best views after perfect storm !
Great campsite even with the toilets closed, fantastic view
We visited a family here. They come here all the time. Its on a big hill. Its well run. Campers are well spaced. Lots of room/air for kids to go play. Its near st andrews but it feels so detached from modern rubbish life it seems like you have found a new planet. So fellow family space explorers. Pack your tent and disposable bbq trays. Pack your kids and a football. If you can actually find this place....left at leuchars...right at saturn...its an oasis planet....where families who look at each other and interact....come to spend quality time.
