Fields End Water Caravan Park, Lodges & Fishery

We liked it. Woman at reception was very nice. We had a nice pitch with water and hookup. We ordered meals and they actually bring them to you ! Amazing. We will return. Don't bother with the fishing though, not much came out when i asked anglers. I am an angler, but didn't miss it. Just nice to relax for a couple days. 5 stars

The places are very cosy and all amenities are catered for, easy check in and lodges are all dog friendly too. All have there own hot tubs and are very large and can easily fit 4 adults in them. Rooms very spacious and beds are very comfortable. You will need to bring your own hairdryer and your own shower gels.

What a beautiful site and so peaceful, looked after couldn't fault it at all. We just wanted a few days of doing not alot of anything and that is what we did. Lovely dog walks Blue, Izzy and Holly loved them and will want to return as we will with our fishing tackle next time.

This was sadly my first outing in my new campervan. I'm new to the motoring home world and was very excited to experience my first trip away. I gave myself a good 1.5hrs wiggle room to meet my 8pm booking at this site but unfortunately a motorway junction being closed as well as a number of slow tractors and HGVs on the small A roads along route set me back. I arrived at 8.20pm and after realising that the reception had closed at 8pm (my allocated arrival time) I called the site warden. They were so incredibly rude, despite my apology for being late, they continued to tell me how difficult it was for them that we were late. Not what you want after a long drive. Again I could only apologise and accepted immediately that we couldnt enter the site (even though that seems like absolute nonsense to me when it's only 20 mins late). Instead we were forced to stay on the driveway even though the site was almost empty and we were in a motorhome so didnt even need to pitch up etc. Despite this we listened to multiple vehicles move in and out of the site for the next couple of hours as they rejoined the site from their day trips out. Our pitch cost £25 for 1 night. I fully appreciate that rules are rules but I think that it's also really important to not be really rude and make your paying guests feel as though they aren't welcome. Thankfully we've found a location up the road where staff are much more friendly and they even have number plate barriers so that your holiday doesn't feel like it's being policed.

Good campsite and good fishing. There is also a good 3 mile circular walk using mostly footpaths through fields that also just happens to include the three tuns public house. Cheers!
