Difficult to judge under current climate due to restrictions we managed to get 20 people in for a 2 course post funeral meal with drinks. Service was splendid and no complaints about food. Restricted menu currently. They did a great job. Only 4 star based on size of party a fairer assessment could be done when the place is full.

We went to breakfast with Santa a few weeks ago. The wait staff were lovely which really made it a nice experience. The breakfast took an hour and came out cold. Quite expensive for a basic breakfast that doesn't include toast.

Absolutely delicious food at The Stables. My sister and I had spent the day at the local swimming with my niece and were looking for somewhere to get food. We phoned around and found The Stables where open and able to take us straight away at short notice. The waitress was so lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious with big portions. I got the chicken and leek pie with mash and my sister got the cajun chicken pasta. We shared a chocolate fudge cake which was beautiful! I highly recommend this little gem if your looking for a friendly and warm restaurant with delicious food. 5 out of 5. I will be back.

Scrumptious Food and Friendly Staff We had our summer holiday in Glasgow this year. One of the places we loved to be was Balloch. We had a very lovely day in the town and I took my family for a dinner at The Stables. A very friendly female staff showed us our table. The restaurant was recently refurbished and consisted by two large and good looking halls. One with a bar was nicer and the other near to the kitchen. I ordered my favoured dish which is fish and chips. The fish was amazing and the tartare sauce was incredible as it was not mediocre one but home made. My wife and children ordered chicken pasta with Italian sauce. Without any exaggeration they have talked about the pasta for two three days. They really loved it. Food was served significantly quick and the price was surprisingly reasonable for such a nice restaurant. Before forget, if you have sweet tooth then you are at the wright place and you should not miss dessert at the end as they are quite rich with it. Just one thing I was expecting a bit better was chips. It was ordinary and could be even better. Despite that I give them 5 star. We left the Stables with an absolute feeling of gladness and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Service and food were great! We had the venison which I can highly recommend, smallish portion but very good non the less and the Curry of the day which was tomato balti. More of a chicken and tomato sauce than curry but did the job. Also has a very well stocked bar. Overall great little restaurant and if you're looking for a nice dinner/date spot in Alexandria I can highly recommend.
