I had a superb stay at the Cardross Inn recently for a wedding I was attending in Glasgow. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, with a varied menu during the evenings to choose from, and a fantastic full breakfast in the morning. My room was modern and immaculately clean and perfect for my two night stay (17-19 October 2020). Plenty of parking spaces. Cardross seemed like a lovely village and only a 30 minute drive from the centre of Glasgow. Thanks for a great stay!
Absolutely outstanding freshly prepared food from a very very capable chef. We had a mushroom crostini to start and a prawn dish. For mains it was a chicken bacon club and THE BEST steak pie I’ve ever eaten. Actually just brilliant all round. Lovely setting. Great staff. Lovely vibe. Highly recommend for a visit.
Nice pub in a nice location. Just a shame the food couldn’t match. For £16.50 I would expect a much thicker steak, it tasted ok but for that price it was very thin and came with some soggy potato wedges. The kids had fish and chips which looked nice. The service was good even though we did wait quite a while for our food. Overall quite disappointed and would not rush back.
I read a couple of reviews before going here and thought they were quite harsh. Had meal here. My first visit and friendly attentive staff, lovely food and generous portions, price was as I would expect for a Gastro pub not sure on drinks costs. Clean and nice surroundings, I will be back.
Just had a lovely lunch at the inn with my husband and toddler. Food was lovely and felt very safe with the Covid practises in place. We’ll be back thank you.
