Duck Bay Hotel & Restaurant

The restaurant here is STUNNING! We were well looked after and the staff were incredible. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, greeted by the friendliest staff who did everything they could to see to our needs. The measures in place for COVID-19 are by far the best we have come across so far. All staff were fantastic, they were very attentive and kept everything clean and protected. The mood of the restaurant was vibrant and everyone around us was having a really good time. We indulged in the tomahawk steak and did not regret a single thing, well, apart from trying to get up after we had stuffed our faces. Let me tell you, it was the most delicious steak we have eaten, ever. Cooked to absolute perfection. The sides that came with the meal were divine, the drinks, divine, everything was absolutely perfect. Oh, and the view is absolutely breath taking and my words will not do it justice. If you've made it this far into my review, congratulations! Honestly, if you want an incredible experience with amazing food, breath taking views and to be treated like royalty book this place, now, just do it, book it. Thank you to everyone who worked in the restaurant last night, we had a perfect evening and you could not tell that we were just coming out of global a pandemic. On passing on Sunday afternoon we called by chance and they had space . Staff are very polite and quickly we were taken to our seat at the window . I would normally order a steak but opted for a burger .I think they had forgot we were there as 30mins after finishing the mix starter we had to call someone over . The burger was Very plain , no sauce , hard and Luke warm . The good lady had fish and chips but due to the delay it had to be sent back as it was cold . The replacement was hot outside but extremely wet and not very edible. Disappointed . The only plus point is the beautiful views and the decor . We visit regularly and I would normally post 5 stars . Thinking it was maybe an off day .

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and lovely location . Standard room is a little on the small side but fine if you aren't spending much time in it. Shower door could be a bit bigger so the floor doesn't get soaked after a shower. Would definitely stay here again.

In for afternoon tea, nice selection at a good price in pleasant surroundings. Service was quick and polite. Although fairly busy I did not feel Covid vulnerable, good spacing and observance of regulations.
