I was turned away because my parcels were not profitable for this Post Office. The man said which types of services he wanted to provide and this was not one of them. I have visited this post office for many years for a range of services (I'm sure some profitable), but this one incident will now mean I wouldn't feel able to go again. I was with my young son and he was distressed on leaving the post office about what had happened and didn't understand why a man would behave in this way. I know that Post Offices are struggling but incidents like this are not going to help keep a customer base. At a time when the world is at is it, kindness and community go a long way and I saw neither today at Cobham Post Office.
Best post office I have ever used. Surprise at others feedback about prices of envelopes- I had a parcel so big that the lovely people who run it emptied a full box so I had one big enough to send my parcel then wrapped it so carefully and at no charge for wrapping!!
Please tell me how you can justify charging £1.49 for an envelope which can be purchased for £0.69 at the newsagents a couple of hundred yards away. Disgraceful!
