Fernwood Caravan Park

Lovely welcome and shown straight to pitch. Older steward didnt social distance and had her head in peoples car windows when talking to them. Showers immaculate and deep cleaned regularly

Lovely caravan park, really nice people who run it too.

We visited this campsite for the weekend with my sister and we borrowed my in-laws motorcaravan. I have many fond childhood memories of the place as my Grandmas and Grandad had a static here when we were kids. Great campsite which is well maintained and been developed over the years beautifully. Great kids play area too. Really quiet and relaxing but we didn’t feel we had to be ‘hush hush’ with the kids who were with us so they could still run round and enjoy themselves too. Really clean too with hand sanitiser etc on the children’s playground. Really recommend to others and will defo return.

This was our 5th annual summer break at Fernwood. We stayed for 7 nights in our touring caravan on a multi serviced hard standing pitch. We always feel so relaxed when we drive through the threshold of Fernwood and are always amazed at how immaculate it is kept. The team at Fernwood always work so hard and nothing is ever too much trouble, Judith and Steph are always so happy and welcoming, and the guys who maintain the grounds always give a smile and a wave to us and the children as they pass on their lawnmowers etc ! We needed Gas as we were close to running out , so we asked Judith if they sold gas , which they did and it was delivered within 5 minutes in the back of her truck right up to our caravan ! The showers and bathroom facilities have always been exceptionally clean , and it was reassuring to see that twice daily the washroom facilities were closed for a few hours to be deep cleansed and sanitised. Also the park was sanitised daily and the park even had it's own hand sanitizing station to sanitise before and after playing on the equipment. The children can play happily and are made to feel welcome . Great that this park also encourages recycling. It is a 5* fully equipped caravan park that caters for all caravan and motor home guests, and even has the added benefit of serviced pitches so there is no need to dispose of grey waste and you have the added luxury of not constantly filling your aqua roll up . The chemical disposal point is probably the cleanest and prettiest one we've ever used and decorated with colourful flower displays!! Some people might say that having no WIFI is a negative , however for us and our family, and I'm sure many others, we see it as a positive thing as we can escape the online world for a while, and if it was really needed you can always access it from a hotspot near the shop area anyway ! We have had nothing negative to ever say about Fernwood , the only negative thing is when we have to pack up and Leave !! We can't wait to return .
