Very overpriced for what you get. The brochure photos suggest a secluded cabin by a lake in the woods. In fact it is a development of cabins packed as closely as a suburban housing estate, and the lake is barely a small pond. The cabin is reasonably well equipped but the bathroom has no bathtub, and there is no WiFi.
We stayed in Windsor lodge for a week last month. The lodge was perfect, small and cosy but very spacious for 2 people. The covered hot tub meant we could use it even in the rain :) we used our own streaming device and wifi for the TV and brought our DVDs to play in the xbox which is provided in the lodge. Kitchen has everything you need, fridge with small freezer section, mini cooler, microwave, electric hob and oven, kettle. Robes, slippers and towels were also provided which was a bonus 😊
Beautiful location and very peaceful. The lodge had everything needed and it was very clean. Will definitely be returning. 😁
We stayed in Buckingham Lodge.
Interior was modern, really clean, comfortable & very well thought out.
The kitchen had everything you needed in it to keep the family well catered for.
Bedrooms were light & spacious with a lovely corner bath in the main bedroom!!
The cosy, private garden was a big hit with the children loving the hot tub & a safe area for doing a BBQ & eating out there.
Also had reclining loungers & table on the front patio area.
Being able to fish on the lake right in front of the lodge was perfect & the boys caught some great carp.
Also a great location for little trips to places like the Mere & Chirk Aquaduct.
Site owner & staff were very friendly & helpful.
