Wild Cherry Camping

What an absolute find this campsite is, to the point where i'd go as far as to say it's likely one of, if not the best campsite we've had the pleasure of staying at. The campsite only has four pitches, and one of those has a Bell tent permanently pitched for more of a glamping experience. Four pitches for the full site sounds small, but it's actually a relatively big sized field, they could easily cram more pitches in but of course that would detract from the privacy each pitch has, we love that the owners favour that. We actually hired out all four pitches over the bank holiday weekend for a meet up with friends, and we were so surprised to see that each pitch has its own large shelter with a picnic table and a campfire supplied as standard, plus their own dedicated composting toilet! These are luxuries i'd expect from glamping, not from booking a camping pitch - fantastic! The shower block was clean, and nicely finished - very hot water and good pressure which is always a bonus. There was also a fridge and freezer available for guests to use, and of course extra logs for purchase at a very reasonable price. We had a lot of dogs with us for the weekend (6!) and the place was perfect for them, lots of space to run around and play whilst also having good visibility of them from the tent pitches. The adjacent field, which you can see from the main camping area is fully enclosed, so you can really let your dogs roam free without worrying about them doing a Houdini. I suppose the only negative aspect I can highlight is that this is a relatively new camp site, I believe they only opened this year, and based on our experience it's going to be challenging to book this place in future due to it just how good it is - I can image the snowball effect of bookings is going to be in full force as more people discover this gem of a campsite. Brilliant stay. Fantastic hosts. Great camp site. All you could need. Private on site composting toilet with running water, convered picnic bench, fire pit and shower within walking distance. Lovely camp site. Two excellent nights stay.

We had a blissful few days at Wild Cherry Camping - beautiful location, really well laid out camp site and very friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommended!
