We stayed for 3 nights at Hawthorns Lodge and had a fantastic time. The lodge was spotlessly clean, quaint and with all of the required amenities available The location is beautiful and relaxing. Emma and the team were fantastically helpful and we had a great break. Im already looking at booking again. Highly recommended.

Lovely place, nice and restful lodge, a place among woodland on the side of a hill. Comfortable and well appointed with a good kitchen for self catering. There's a patio area where you can use a disposable barbeque. A place to sit and read outside. And some lovely walks down the side of a river nearby. There's a good course there too for people who enjoy hitting balls with sticks.

Lovely cabin(s), perhaps a bit retro for my liking, but by no means spolied the escape from concrete civilization. We had the Cedar cabin, which over looks the golf course (which proved entertaining at times, when you'd see players clearly frustrated, or when playing "guess what the person does" (people watching). I like the "hovering BBQ shelf" idea (disposables only), might pinch that idea for home... Adopted a new pet, Fred the massive spider. Now I ain't no chicken, but he/she took two showers before entering the plughole vortex... I mean travel crate. He/she seems to like it there.

Excellent location for fresh countryside air with scenic views. Very clean accommodation despite being a bit dated kitchen and bathroom.
