A lovely site but beware! We arrived on the 1st August for 7 nights, electric pitch with our own (well made) tent. We were shown to our pitch on the top field straight away which was great, it was sloped though. The camp site is beautiful, stunning views, quiet and the place is clean. A short walk to the shops and beach, it seemed idyllic.... until the wind kicked in on Tuesday the 4th. We watched as all the other tents around us got destroyed not knowing what to do, with no one around to help. Unfortunately our tent got blown down the hill with us in it, which resulted in a dash to the hospital to be told I'd broken my shoulder. I wish I'd read the reviews about how windy the site can get because in my opinion it's not safe on that top field. Since reading those reviews it seems the owner does just sit back until the damage is done then offers to help after tents are broken. No offer of moving the at risk tents on the hill (that have no bushes to break the wind, it's very exposed) We had to come home that Tuesday as the tent and my shoulder were destroyed :( I feel once they take your money they really don't care if tents were broke or you have to leave early because of it. Just be careful if you are bringing young children here, I was lucky it was me who got hurt and not my children!! Reply to your comments...... I'm not sure how my review was misleading,  the fact of the matter is you do have a problem with the wind on that exposed hill. It clearly can be dangerous and I'd hate for a small child to be hurt because of it. Yes Paul did come and help control our tent when I came down to the house holding my arm and sobbing, as well as a couple who were in a caravan across from us. WE asked him where the nearest hospital was which he ummed and arred at before telling us the hospital we needed. On arrival back to the site Paul came over to our car, which is when I said I'd broken my shoulder he then asked if they had given me some strong pain killers, when I said yes he laughed and said i should have a strong drink tonight when i get home, which I gave a slight haha to. Not very proffesional. I didn't leave my son's car until after my friend got to the site and had packed his car up with our mangled tent ready to leave. I literally got out of one car into another.. No laughing or joking involved (except on your part)  yes I might have said goodbye with a smile on my face but it's called putting on a brave face infront of my boys. Believe me I sobbed on and off all the way home when it was just me and my friend in the car. In my opinion you do just sit back while tents are destroyed, I'm not saying you don't help after the event but that isn't good enough when lives are at risk! More hedges/shelter needed in that top field, it's a fact! Just read previous reviews mine isn't a one off. (Ie winds/broken tents/people leaving early)

Fantastic campsite. You pay the incredibly cheap price just for the views but get fantastic facilities and friendly staff added in! Site owner was great in accomodating our late arrival and all facilities were spotless. Will definitely be returning again - might even being the golf clubs for a round of golf in the pristine looking course just around the corner.

I love this place so much, camped for a couple nights at the start of September. Facilities were so clean and lovely, great views, close to lots of places worth seeing and walking distance to a village with shop and chippy. Will definitely be going back next year!

Lovely setting; decent pitches with plenty of space around them; good facilities. Unfortunately we had to leave after only two nights (of seven) due to Storm Francis but we would consider going back. Only minor gripe was the guy on the noisy quad bike constantly riding around and occasionally other campers leaving their car/bike engines running for no obvious reason.

Great location, very clean and well kept site, Friendly staff. COVID safe. Great views over Conwy Bay 15 minutes walk away. Shopping clothes by 10 minutes walk. Don't forget to bring your ramps.
