I think I came here in 1998 on a school trip. I liked it at the time. The girls were kept in the dormitories on the ground floor and the boys were kept on the dormitories on the top floor. It’s not far from Drusillas Wildlife Park (if it’s still open) and there was an indoor swimming pool with a water slide nearby too.

Perfect location & views, great rest stop for walkers/cyclists who visit the cafe. Cheap rooms and camping site, clean and well managed facilities. Right by the South Downs Way so popular with walkers. Be sure to visit the cafe as the prices for meals, drinks and snacks are excellent. Good quality food, vegetarian & vegan choices. Friendly staff.

We just stopped for a coffee, but that was worth it! If you're camping here you're in the heart of the Downs and will wake up to great 360-degree views, including the sea. The breakfast looked pretty good too!

Amazing two course meal for under £10. Helpful staff. Lounging area inside and seating outside too. Top up your water bottles in the kitchen too.
