A peaceful environment which is well maintained by staff. With washing up and prayer facilities. This is a place you go to and remember those who have passed away before us without interruption from traffic noise , which is drowned out by the green livery all over. Graves are well maintained.

I can't fault their service. Had 2 uncles buried at the cemetry and an old school friend. Their Ghusl service was great and the staff completing it were so supportive and friendly. Excellent reception service too. Very professional and efficient. I haven't buried any close relatives of mine there as there are other cemeteries far closer to me. The only reason I haven't given them 5 stars is because I feel some of their staff (especially the older ones) can be draconian and unnecessarily harsh and cold in their demeanour, as if they are the only top dog in town and even condescending (yes there is a monopoly) or they seem overly influenced by fundamentalist Saudi Wahhabism. I was even upset at how rude one of them was at my friend's funeral where I would have confronted him after the fuenral service were I not grieving. I understand funerals can be stressful and they have a business to run but some of the elders (who I think are senior manangement) can certainly imrove their empathy and people skills. This is specifically when the actual burial of the body is taking place after the Janazah. I have been to more than half a dozen funerals at GOP and this behaviour at the burial has happened almost always. I know it isn't intentional but the behaviour and empathy of some of the older staff when the burial is taking place should be better.

This muslim cemetery is one of the most peaceful ones I have visited in the UK. It is very well maintained. There is a spacious car park (free) for visitors, a male/female prayer room (closed during covid) which is also spacious. There is also a wudu facility on site. Can get muddy during the winter so remember to bring shoe covers and if you forget there is a outdoor facility to clear your shoes. An important place to reflect, contemplate and make dua for those who have passed.

Staff here are excellent during such an emotional period for anyone that has lost close relatives. There are prayer facilities too for salaah which is clean and tidy.
