Graham (the owner) was kind enough to let us check-in extremely late (@9:45pm) after a very long day trekking. He showed us round, allowed us to quietly set-up our tents and had a great night. Graham also had recommendations of places to go in Barmouth and gave guidance on how to get there on foot (only about 20mins away).
Not only the above, the facilities (shower and toilets) were extremely well kept, and they also had clear COVID safe policies (e.g. wiping door handles) which made us feel more comfortable.
Will definitely be visiting this place again. However, even though we were allowed to check-in at 9:30pm, please do not assume this to be a normal check-in time!!!
This weary cycle tourist found a happy home camping at Bunkorama! A big hill to end the day, but totally worth it for the view. It was windy when I stayed, and the owner was thoughtful enough to make sure I had a sheltered spot.
Massive thanks to Graham for putting up 2 bikepacking cyclists! Was a little late in the day and we hadn't booked. Clean, has showers and power! If you can climb that "hill" it's 100% worth it for the view and his charm 🤙
Absolutely stunning views from the campsite, really friendly welcoming hosts and a fantastically comprehensive recycling system to boot, cannot recommend more highly!
Lovely little campsite. Feels nicely isolated with just 9 pitches and incredible views down to the sea and across the mountains.
The facilities were clean, showers warms, hosts really friendly and helpful.
Some wonderful walks into the town and beyond. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
