We are an active couple with lots of wild camping and camping experience. We value small camp sites with basic facilities. We chose the Barn Campsite to avoid crowds and caravan parks. The location is lovely, 20 mins to the beach, beautiful views. However, their website is quite misleading. There are certainly no “new shower blocks”, the showers are in an old portocabin without any drains or filters, and the dirty water going directly into the ground. 2/4 showers were broken (09/2020) You pay £1 for 5mins. The showers were dirty and certainly not Covid friendly. The men’s shower didn’t have a door. 2/3 women’s toilets were broken and haven’t been cleaned. The website says “family friendly”. There was machinery just left out and unfortunately quite a lot of rubbish lying around. The fields are beautiful but we were not happy with the facilities and Covid measures.

Been coming on here for 12 years. It has been covid friendly and is not dirty and cleaned 3 to 4 times a day. New shower block was installed because the old one was In toilet. Always clean and tidy. Field is kept lovely and clean. Rubbish can you be found at the bins which is situated and front of entrance. The owners deb and rich are lovely and very friendly lovely campsite and always go back.

My original review had been removed because I said I had discovered that The barns campsite is an unregulated campsite with no license from either Snowdonia National Park or Gwynedd Council, it is a fact. The campsite facilities are unclean, I would not stay again. The only thing it has going for it is that it’s in a beautiful part of the country.

Wonderfully accommodating hosts with decent facilities and are pet friendly. The grounds are lovely and tidy also would recommend
