I sent an important letter with special delivery for 9am next day. It arrived at 11.30am. Apparently PO only guarantees delivery by 11am. However, they still call it special delivery for 9am and the gentlemen at the Penge Post office who would have obviously know that chose not to tell me this either. I also could not track the letter nor can I get a refund because the receipt he gave me did not have a tracking number. I paid £20.24 for this excellent service. What should I call this if not either a scam or complete incompetence.
Not sure I trust them. Quoted £20 for sending a PS4. Asked if there were any other options and they said that was the only one. Then offered a discount of £3 (didn't know the Post Office did discounts!?). After paying I checked the receipt and had been put on an an 'expressAM' option, which definitely isn't the cheapest.
Checked online and could have sent next day via UPS for £5.80!
Pretty quick custom service and a lot better than the Sydenham post office
1 star is too much. Filthy store, every item seems to have been there for a million years. Rude lady at the counter, slow service- it’s always 2 of them max. Awful service.
Badly organised shop.
