Wonderful care at Ealing Hospital Urgent Care. After checking in, only had to wait a very short time. The nurse was kind and efficient. She both helped me and reassured me.
I’d just like to say a big thank you to Munuka Rai, Nurse from Nepal who helped me in A&E this morning. She was extremely friendly and caring. Overly touched by her professionalism and help with my asthma situation. Thank you very very much. Mr Dub
No visitation rights for patients at this hospital, no accessibility to even speak to loved ones from a distance or in a designated Covid-monitored environment, essentially robbing people of their last moments with their loved ones in many cases.
Even prisoners on death-row get visitation rights.
In these tense and difficult times, I found my visit to be exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful, I was never looking lost for more than 10 seconds, the staff in radiology were lovely, the fella doing the blood test was a legend, everything was incredibly quick and efficient and it felt safe and welcoming. Massive praise to everyone there - we're all super grateful for your work and dedication.
What a disgrace!
A family member was admitted just over 3 weeks ago with a prior health condition, which any other hospital would be able to treat and rehabilitate swiftly, ensuring patient safety... this was not the case! Despite her being on a "Covid-safe" ward (as she tested Covid-negative upon entry to the hospital), she was moved 3 times, all to areas where Covid should've been managed by staff and precautions should've been in place... she then tested positive after just a few days in the hospital - given to her by the staff who did not take any precautionary measures!!
This was undoubtedly a death-sentence.
After battling Covid-19 and being told that she was clear to come out of hospital, a sudden deterioration in health meant that she was put on oxygen, unfortunately she passed away soon after.
Given that we are battling a world-wide pandemic, fatalities are expected, however with precautions in place to prevent this, this tragedy should not have occured, but we ask ourselves why? After visiting the hospital to ask about her condition before Covid had been contracted, she had been moved twice - none of our family were notified of this. We had to chase around wards to even attain news and updates from nurses, whilst on this search we had seen the undeniably most horrific sight possible... a ward rifled with NHS staff not taking a single precautionary measure - no masks! no gloves! no visors! This is basically asking for Covid-19 to spread to patients, especially those who are most vulnerable!!
We had no visitation rights whatsoever, not even a visitors room with Covid-measures in place, was granted.
The staff did not communicate with us on any developments, they were unhelpful, and extensively negligent. It's no surprise that we as a nation have had a massive increase in Covid cases and fatalities when we have certain areas of the NHS being so careless and despicable.
This hospital did not seem like a hospital to me, it could be similarly viewed as a slaughterhouse.
Stay away from this hospital at all costs! If you live nearby and have a medical emergency, I would strongly advise that you seek medical help from a hospital further away, as Ealing Hospital is by no means a place where patients receive the care or help that Aneurin Bevan would have expected when he founded the NHS.
This place has caused the death of a woman who was much loved by so many people, and somebody who would've undoubtedly survived and recovered at another hospital.
I tried to make this comment on the NHS Ealing Hospital reviews page, however this was declined - a review should be to share an experience with others, not for negative reviews to be censored by the hospital to prevent a negative image being placed upon the place or staff that work there - what a disgrace.
