Royal Mail (Croydon)

I had to have 3 attempts before having my parcel actually delivered, this is horrible service! First time I couldn't answer the intercom but I found the postman still got into the block as he left a card and no parcel. Arranged a redelivery purposely requesting to leave the parcel in a safe place, postman arrives and totally ignores this instruction. Why do you even ask your clients to select an option if this is then ignores? Arranged a third redelivery and answer the intercom. I am on a conference call and not able to open the door so I ask him to please leave it in front of the door. I hear him throwing it heavily on the floor and leaving, not a word. Such a poor service! Few points to reflect on: 1. Your redeliveries options are way too few, if one attempt is unsuccessful the following one is often not before few days time for a parcel meant to be delivered within 48 hours. 2. Croydon collection post office is in a very inconvenient area to reach, not served by any public transportation and opening hours are quite limited, don't you want to do your best to avoid your client visiting the area? 3. You are offering a service which is dearly paid and should accommodate client's needs. Also a friendly service always makes the difference and a person not saying a word a throwing your parcel on the floor looks really bad. 4. During a pandemic you should encourage people staying home as per government instructions. This means ensuring a contact free service and especially doing your best to deliver rather than having people collecting their parcels. I hope this is of help!

I'm a business customer, handed my mail to a staff member. I told him he's got to scan in the manifest, he said okay and I left. My tracked mail is still not in the system after 2 days!! When my customer looks at the tracking it still says "We are expecting it". Also this means that after 2 days it still haven't arrived to the Croydon Mailing centre, let alone to Langley.. NEVER take your business mail to this place, I won't for sure! I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to resend the orders to my customers. It can be lost, stolen, mixed with residential mail etc who knows.. As he never scanned it in it looks like it was never handed over to RM.. lucky they have CCTV..

The service is a joke! DON'T USE ROYAL MAIL!! Save your time and money for others! They delivered my parcel somewhere else and they have not been bothered even to check what happened to it. They sent me an useless letter after 3!!! weeks with nonsense telling me to deal with the sender! They are useless! People there don't deserve their jobs!

MY MAIL HAVE NOT BEEN DELIVERED PROPERLY AND ALL MY MAIL FOR THREE WEEKS EITHER HAVE BEEN MISS DELIVERED OR LOST. HAVE HAPPENED IN PAST FEW TIMES BUT I THINK NO ACTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN by THE AUTHORITIES. MY BILLS DID GET DELIVERED AND ENDED UP PAYING LATE PAYMENT CHARGES. DID NOT GET MY HOSPITAL APPOINTMENT LETTERS AND DUE TO NOT GETTING MY MAIL MY APPOINTMENT WERE CANCELED AND ENDED UP STARTING THE PROCEDURE ALL OVER AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN LIVING AT THE PRESENT ADDRESS SINCE 1985 AND CLEARLY MARKED. I HAVE CAUGHT THEM MANY TIMES DELIVERING MY MAIL IN WRONG PLACES. ONCE I WAS WAITING FOR MEDICAL REPORT WHICH I DID NOT GET IT FOR FEW DAYS AND EVENTUALLY I HAD TO ASK THE MAIL DELIVERY PERSON AND WAS FOUND IN THE ROYAL MAIL VAN ON THE FLOOR. I HAVE COMPLAINED MANY TIMES BUT LOOKS LIKE NO ACTION S ARE BEING TAKEN.

What a joke this place is. My order was 'ready for delivery' for a whole week. The staff are poorly trained around the controls, procedures and policies of Royal Mail. I was told several different things by several different members of staff which only made the situation worse. It took me escalating the issue to the seller for Royal Mail to say that my parcel had an incorrect address? so it will be returned to seller.
