Needed an international driving licence. After googling what to do, turned up with a photo and £5.50. I arrived at 1 o’clock, queued for 3 minutes, and left with all I needed. Nice and easy, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I hear that they’re intending on closing this place in the future though. That’s a shame based on today’s experience.
I have used this Post Office since the "Lockdown" and although on the first visit there was quite a long queue , it didn't take more than 30 minutes. I drove past a few times to try to gauge the best time . I found that if I go at about 2.00 pm there is either a very short queue or no one queuing at all. The staff are very affable and are doing the best they can in the circumstances. The people who grumble are really so ungrateful as I consider that we are extremely lucky to have a postal service through all the weeks of this crisis. Why are the public so self-absorbed, just count your liucky stars that you live in the United Kingdom and not the USA.
One of the best organised post office branches in Central London. Professional staff trying to help and not just shove you in a queue (as they do in Baker Street, for example). Drop and go system works usually efficiently and there is - especially at peak times - a person to scan your items (and not, as they say in Baker Street "I cannot log in"...)
I always use the self service machine it’s great and fast. The staff are helpful if you’re in trouble with the self service.
Try coming before noon, really friendly staff and not too many people.
