Home of the Chelsea Pensioners, about 300 of them and now not just exclusively men.
65 acres of land in the middle of Chelsea.
Founded by King Charles II in 1682.
Various events are held here during the year, including the Chelsea
Flower show.
This establishment just warms your heart, knowing that the Chelsea pensioners are cared for so well. The grounds are impeccable. You are able to take a walking tour around much of the grounds & some of the buildings, including the chapel & the great Hall. There is a museum that is definitely worth your time & Cafe within the grounds.
One of Britain's treasured historical site. A must visit place if you are in London.
Great scale to the hospital - Wren at work - full of history etc. National institution!
