We just had a fantastic meal at The Castle Inn. The food portions are very generous and the hot chips are absolutely delicious. I am an ex-South African and was amazed to find a fellow ex-South African there too. The people here are friendly. Just a lovely place to finish off a great getaway.
the chips in the place defy belief - apparently triple fried - they are the sort of chips wars are fought over.
Everything else is pretty good too, understated and traditional. Do not expect poncy bistro pub fare - this is real.
