If you can cope with narrow Devon lanes, this is a lovely relaxed and peaceful place. The facilities are basic and dated but everywhere is nicely looked after. It is good to have a shop, veggie stall and pub only a few hundred yards from the front gate.
Just spent 2 weeks at this lovely little & very quiet camping and caravan site. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. We came with family a caravan and a tent and it was easy to pitch up close together. Facilities are a little dated but all very clean. Would definitely come back if visiting Devon.
While touring round the West County we stayed here for a few nights, it was most pleasant quiet and relaxing, local pubs are very good, and we visited the Ship Inn a couple of times, and the California, most of the visitors are retired on site, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and highly recommend a visit if you're in the area touring round the "Glorious West County", and can manage successfully when towing the van along some of the very narrow lanes.
We had a great time here. Really nice, quiet site with helpful and pleasant staff. We were given a choice of places to set up the tent and all the information we could need about the site. Nicely placed for Dartmoor and Plymouth.
Just spent two weeks here. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Spotlessly clean facilities although somewhat dated but this would not stop us from returning. Thank you so much Jenny and Linden (wardens). Sandra and Tony
