What can I say, this place was lovely. We arrived slightly ahead of plan and were accommodated straight away with a happy smile. Wardens were really helpful and chatty too. They seemed interested in us. The surrounding walks were lovely, we walked the canal into Brecon one day which was about 5K, it was raining but nothing wet weather gear couldn’t sort. Two great dog walks on site and playing area for the children to kick the football. Two large shower and facilities blocks which made it easier as when one was closed for cleaning the other was open so you were not rushed. Food at the local pub was outstanding. Onsite shop was well priced and we even brought a few bits too. Launderette on-site which was helpful for wet weather gear, winds were strong and helped us dry out some towels and other wet items. Nothing bad to say about this site.

This was our second trip here this Autumn. Lovely well kept site which is easy to get too. However the grey haired woman on duty needs a lesson in Customer Service! She treated me like a 12 year old, shouting at me to stand there in the corner. No welcome at all, a hello would have been nice. I'm well up on Covid as work for the Track & Trace system. When she did serve me I received no smile no welcome just a raise of the eyebrows as if to say 'what do you want?' The barrier pass was put in the counter without a word. If you don't like your job don't do it! Put us off visiting here again. Also the traffic can be very noisy week days from around 4am.

Brilliant site. Clean and tidy. Toilet block is very clean with lots of space to accommodate 6 people even in times of covid. Lots of walks close by. The town of Brecon is lovely and you can get there by walking along the canal side. I wasn't keen on the use of noisy machinery on a Sunday but otherwise I highly recommend this site.

This is a fantastic and very well maintained site, with easy access to the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal, you can enjoy picturesque walks on easy level ground. We found out on our last visit that there us now a panini grill bar which is located on site on Friday evenings and Saturdays until 3pm. So if you want an easy snack after pitching, or fancy having breakfast made for you, then I can highly recommend it. There are also lovely pubs in Brecon and The Three Horseshoes us only a 15 minute walk from the site.

It's a peaceful and friendly campsite, we came away feeling very relaxed 😊 we didn't want to leave. As you can see in the photos of the shower block it was kept very clean... would definitely recommend this place if you need to chill out, well worth a visit..
