My family booked last minute and we were happy as place looked very nice. While in our room my son noticed bad smell by his bed. It turned out that there was urine on the valance of his bed and on the carpet. Staff apologiesed and it was cleaned. Still the smell lingered and it wasn't very nice to sleep there. We checked out one night earlier but it wasn't possible to cancel and get refund.
Everything else was good. Nice big room, comfy beds and friendly staff. Just don't understand how the rooms are clean and inspected before new guests arrive to miss urine smell and stain on the valance?
It has been an excellent stay so far. These lovely hosts were happy to accommodate NHS staffs like me and my wife during these difficult times. We have been staying in the apartment and it is just amazing. It has everything so, there no hassle. I would highly recommend Downsview GH to everyone. The location is brilliant too. Some of the walks that you can go for is just breathtaking. Great stay so far. Martin & Sue has been an excellent host.
Wonderful rooms- breakfast had several options. We played lawn games and enjoyed a drink at the mini pub. It was a very enjoyable stay!
