One line summary: good safety, excellent service, fair - good food, nice outdoor space. I really enjoyed my visit here for a business catch up lunch. An effective innovative social distancing policy is in place here with one way traffic, and good hand hygiene facilities. although saying that, if they used automatic hand gel dispensers this would be perfect. The food was at the higher end of what you would expect for a pub lunch, and enjoyable. The menu isn't huge but has a fair selection and most will be able to find something to their taste. The garden area is lovely with lots of seating options. Non smokers get the premium raised canopy area, and even vapers (like me) are excluded from using this terrace. What really stood out about this visit was the customer service and social distancing system in operation. SD- a one way system with good spacing options. The staff team were all really good (over and above standard service). However, I have to mention Kyle especially. He took my mild but inappropriate flirting in his stride and delivered high quality customer care. I would definitely recommend a visit if your in the area

Good meal. Staff maid some school boy errors i.e not listening properly brought over the drinks left one off. Charged for 3 pints. 2 were only half pints. But the staff were welcoming friendly and warm. A little stingy on the meat portions plenty of vegetables. On the whole good apart from the above.

Stayed for 2 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Room was comfy and clean. All Covid measures seem to have been adhered to. Restaurant and bar was lovely. Food was great, staff were very helpful and polite. It must be very difficult to run these places during the pandemic but I praise them for doing their best and trying to make the best of an awkward situation. Well done

My new favourite roast dinner location in Ashford the food is amazing and you can tell its freshly cooked, don't be shy to ask for a bigger portion they are more than happy too. Will be back again and again 😊
