Village Hotel Maidstone

Lovely rooms but cleaners needs to be more on top of things carpet dirty round the taps back of doors inside kettle blinds chairs I'm nvq housekeeper cleaned in hospital care home shops schools ect so very alert when staying in hotels ect but thought during covid that cleanliness would have been stepped up more, so maybe take antibacterial with you the towels are in a sealed bag for you to open , haven't used the gym ect so cant comment on that, we ate in restaurant was told £40 voucher for food was included with booking but wasn't so that was misleading, food was good but expensive, bed was very comfortable but creaky 😉 so no movement past 5mls per hour, shower was hot and powerful they should extend a bit more glass as the water comes out onto floor, lovely flat screen tv on wall with lots of freeview channels not like some hotels that have the little tv on the sideboard with 4 channels if your lucky, really need a fridge in each room for your drinks ect no air con but have a modern fan that is permanently fixed to wall which does the job and if cold there's a heater that works well, there's an iron and ironing board in each room also a hairdryer tea/coffee kettle ect staff are very nice happy polite overall stay very good just little things need to be looked at, also there is a beefeater pub the Malta inn 5 min walk next door which runs along a river lovely to sit outside and have a drink or have something to eat and watch the boats go by, the hotel also do special nights like 80s discos ect I haven't been yet but will in future, you can also just go to eat or drink not just a hotel.

Such friendly people to greet us and helpful in explaining the system they need to operate in during these difficult times. Quick and helpful staff in the food area and television area. Definitely will visit again.

The hotel was lovely! Hotel room nicely furnished and comfortable bed. Staff were helpful and accommodating. However the food was horrible. We understand reduced menus but when staying in £100 a night hotel you expect the food to resemble this. The food was bland covered with sauces and expensive for what it was. We went elsewhere 2nd night of our stay. Very disappointed

Came here after the first lockdown to eat with my family. We sat down about to order and said cards only due to the pandemic. But they can not refuse legal tender won't be going back again.

Visited the restaurant and not a great experience. Service very slow and the app they make you use is one of the worst I've encountered. Staff friendly when you eventually get served. Decor good but I won't rush back.
