Friendly and helpful staff, they can't do enough for you. Even though I didn't hear a single Caribbean accent, which I was looking forward to (missing it) these guys were so lovely. The place is clean, comfy and welcoming. Tables are nicely spaced out for social distancing, it wasn't crowded. Music was good and set the ambience. You can see into the kitchen through a window and watch chef work his magic! I was hesitant because many "Caribbean" restaurants, anglicise the food and ends up tasting unauthentic, but I was very pleasantly surprised with The Rocking Chair. It tasted so close to home, best I've had in Wales. I would just add, you should know Caribbean folk like a bit more gravy. 😁. I judge Caribbean restaurants by their jerk chicken, once they get that right I will try other dishes. Ital next for me! I would definitely recommend, it ticks all the boxes. (Except please make more veggie and beef patties! 😂) Tip: on the menu it just says "plantain", the whole plantain is sliced and fried. I was curious how many pieces, but it was enough to satisfy this fried plantain lover. Another Tip:the takeout menu is cheaper than the dine in.

Was a lovley place for a pint or two. It has changed a lot since i last visited. The bar keep was friendly an helpful. Good food an beer.

Relaxed, reliable food quality, rocking chair rocks, rum in cocktails, rock chick music, ritually clean hands, rock cake desserts, room in the Inn, round table conference outside, robust toilet but not the seat ( ha ha ha ), rolling chairs entrance, random acts of kindness, rich and strong coffee, red stripe very strapping good, rum cocktail takes you to outer space and cloud reality, ready to serve staff if you can see them, rootiful veggie food, rocking good food, right for me to stress release, remember to leave a tip for the extra costs incurred by staff that deserved to have the right to have kindness returned, right civil people hanging on the wall apart from about 5 more that are not there, but hey no space? Right hook metaphorically given to miss behaving clientele - after all he is on the wall the Rasta man, respect to all! Rose cheek making spicy food that le chef puts in da food - apparently all sorts of spices from a foreign land like Jamaica, rice and peas that are beans really - hey they are the same plant family - so keep yer Curley hair on! Ready to eat and to take away and enjoy the football at home, relax, respect, rejoice this rockin chair.
