ibis London Thurrock M25

Spent the night 5th to 6th of July and registered my car for the parking on the 5th evening time and received an parking ticket for the 6th between 11. 39 and 12.02 while I went back to pick up my luggage, the ticket came end of November, threatening with bailiffs if it goes unpaid, could not be more annoyed,

On arrival the staff were very friendly and the covid QR is prominently on display making using the app very easy. I was given a choice of the newer side or the main hotel, I always opt for the further away choice in the current climate, to try and stay away from people the best I can. The rooms are fairly standard aircon, big bed, a desk the length of a wall, some basic tea making facilities (no spoons) and a decent bathroom (no bath) All in all I had a good night sleep what brings down the rating comes in the morning. I walked down for breakfast met by a nice man who asked what I wanted for breakfast, I told him full English hold the beans. I helped myself to a coffee from the machine and sat to read the news. This is when I could hear clear as anything the staff having a conversation swearing quite loudly, (in fairness it was only one member of staff swearing) I'm no prude and generally, I swear while at work the same as most but, this is hospitality and I would expect much more professionalism then say a bunch of people on a building site. Then came the breakfast I was told enjoy alas I could not, the mushrooms I imagine are from a can and slightly heated before placing on a plate, the hash browns were anemic, the scrabbled egg was not fluffy nor light and the bacon while appeared cooked properly had the texture of leather and the flavour of cardboard. The only saving grace for the whole meal was the sausages, which while not the highest quality were cooked perfectly and had some flavour. In conclusion, 99% of the staff are pleasent, polite and professional that one person just let the side down. The rooms will give you a good night sleep and the bathroom will allow you to feel fresh to face the day. The food could do better.

Very presentable hotel, staff were friendly and polite. Room: wasn't to our standards, there was a spider on the ceiling, dust on the air con and hairs in the shower, we asked to move so they moved us next door: tv remote didn't work properly, toilet felt like it was going to come off the walls, not enough loo roll, tap had bad limescale on it. don't know if we just happen to pick a few bad rooms lol

Our stay was from the 28th Sept - 2nd Oct 2020. What a great hotel, clean, Covid safety brilliant and a beautiful setting inside and outside. Great location, brilliant staff and management. Makes it so much easier being at this location to cover both ends of Essex and Kent so easily. Brilliant stay and will be back. Thank you for being so lovely, kind, helpful and friendly to us Ajay & Jaz

room is clean and decent comfy bed. the breakfast is microwaved, hard to eat and my honest oppinion not worth eating.
