We attended the Brunch with Santa with our two little ones. Lovely lovely experience in these very times. Made Christmas for us. Beautiful setting and friendly, charming staff
We went to the light show at Missenden Abbey. It was targeted towards young children. Took about 10-15 mins. There was a drinks van and carousel that was nice for the kids. In all we were there for about an hour and was a nice little distraction.
Had 3 nights here. Covid restrictions were really effective. Breakfast was great, staff really friendly and helpful. The rooms in the coach house are due a renovation but for the price, it was good value that I couldn't really fault. Gorgeous setting for exploring the region.
We went for Christmas illuminations and was severely disappointed. It took less then 15mins to walk round and that was because we were slowed trying to get our feet out of the mud.
It claims to be wheelchair friendly but the paths are thick with mud, there's no mats or even stones to try and combat the mud. Yes I know it's outdoors and it has been raining but when you compare this to Chiswick House or Syon Park illuminations which have both ensured they are better managed.
The photos I have posted were the best of what was on offer. I definitely wouldn't recommend any of my friends or family to this event.
Afternoon tea with my family - lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes. Very attentive without being intrusive. Definitely recommend
