Yellow Wood is a great micro hostel, it is a throwback to those times when all you needed was a safe refuge and good company. You will like it for what its not as much as for what it is. The owner Paul is cut from the mountains, full of good local knowledge and lots of stories. This is budget accommodation, clean and comfortable, small and compact. Brecon is a superb base, the mountains are only a few miles away. The Waterfall trails a bit further. You can fill a day, a weekend or even a week with adventure, south Wales at your fingertips. I stayed with my daughter, she loved it.
We stay one night with my partner here. All clean tidy and comfy. Fully quietness between
11 pm to 7 am so we rest well for the next day hiking. That was easy to keep social distances and follow the rules for health safety. Paul shows us some paths from the map and gives some tips for Brecon, thanks a lot and hope to see you soon Paul.
