A beautiful place to go with the other half. Great rooms and a breakfast to die for. We spent a great few days visiting family and when we left it felt more like family than just a visitor.
Fantastic guest house. The owner is lovely and the property has been decorated to a high standard. The breakfast was excellent with big portions!! The photos on Google don’t do it justice. Highly recommended.
Great place to stay. 10 minutes walk from Colchester city centre.

My husband and I enjoyed a couple of nights here in a double ensuite, £75 per night. So glad we did. Calypso made us very welcome in her lovely home.
The large airy room was spotless, minimalist with IKEA furnishings and wood style flooring.
The shower was lovely, plenty of power and heated quickly.
Breakfasts provided, included a wide range of cereals, yoghurt, toast, full English cooked fresh with quality ingredients, tea, juice and coffee.
In addition to that, Calypso bakes delicious cakes for guests, leaving them undercover in the breakfast room if you want to help yourself to a slice!
Will be on a strict diet this week now!
Look forward to going back soon.
