Stayed here a few years ago with my friend twice. Was a smallish, but very well appointed room, contemporary style decor throughout the establishment. A clean and decent place to stay. Courteous staff, professional atmosphere. Perhaps the best thing about the North Hill Hotel is their excellent breakfast, which is among the best, if not the best breakfast I have had in a Colchester hotel. Well situated, close to the town centre.

DIne and Stay We dined in the new outside space courtyard in one of the colourful greenhouses which was a brilliant experience with very tasty food and great wine list. Our room was immaculate, comfortable and spacious and coupled with an excellent cooked breakfast we opted for the sunny courtyard. One evening out felt like we had been on a little holiday. Staff so kind and helpful as were the owners too. Staying in hotel after dining made such sense and so glad we did it, We will be back.

First time I stayed here but won't be the last. Excellent location from the train station and town centre. Rooms are spotlessly clean with a real rustic atmosphere. Hotel team are so polite and friendly. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
