First time in Colchester, hotel very clean, rooms spotless. On the 1st floor it’s very warm esp at this time of year. Our room was small but very hot! We had difficulty sleeping because of this.....(no air con in hotel) the next morning we was greeted by Nick who we explained the hotness in the room, we left in a hurry. Later that day Nick called to tell me they have moved our room.
Wow the room was amazing queen size bed, large room with fridge ect. Nick even recommended us to a perfect restaurant.
If ever coming back we will deffo stay here.

Helpful and friendly receptionist. Nice rooms, comfortable beds and good showers. Good location, close to the town centre and plenty of things to do and see close by. Plenty of good parking.
An OK place to stay, went to Star Anglia twice 3 years ago. Right next to the Globe Hotel and owned by the same management I believe. Imporsonal yet functional, a place to stay if there's nowhere more intetesting available. Not particularly cheap. Close to the town centre 5-10 mins walk and 10-15 mins walk to North Station, Colchester's main railway hub.
Amazing staff, friendly and hospitality great! Spotless clean and will definitely stay there again
