Weeley Bridge Holiday Park

Weeley Bridge still good. Staff were excellent. There were some restrictions, masks and social distancing. There was table service in the club house and 10pm closing. But still had brilliant time.

My brother Mark has been staying at weeley bridge for several weeks and would like to thank the staff for their assistance and helpful support during his stay. A special mention to Angel, Zeta, Clair and not forgetting Rachel. All of which are an asset to the company.

But of a long review but i'm being honest. We came to the site for a Monday to Friday stay for a little break before schools back. We know covid had placed a lot of restrictions on certain things in the park but we were very shocked when we realised just how bad things were when we got there...the caravan was a basic one (which is what we were expecting) small rooms, outdated decor etc however we didn't pay for the overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes coming from every single room. But after a day of airing it was fine. The lake was perfect, we didn't manage to catch anything but very nice either way. (Apart from owners who treat it like their own personal land and were often shouting at children who were playing and fishing) Entertainment was movies such as wizard of oz before 15 minutes of kids fun then bingo every night. The Entertainment guys were great and kept our son happy for the time he was in there however there is only so much they can do with restrictions. Food in venue was awful, very expensive and poor quality and very long wait times even with only 2 small families in the venue, drinks were average prices. Arcade was terrible and the pool was unusable as you cant change anywhere and have to walk back to caravan soaked through (another covid restriction) Went for family cricket in the afternoon but no one knew who was running the activities and just ended up not turning up which disappointed my son greatly. There is no shop on site so running out of toilet roll involves a 15 minutes car journey. Overall probably the most disappointing holiday we have had, could forgive the issues with Entertainment as their hands are tied with covid-19 rules but everything else was just very boring and uneventful..

Appreciate the fact that we visited during covid times however the site left little to be desired. Not a brilliant location, a small ish site with very little going on. We weren't able to go into the entertainment building with the kids as booked out which combined with rubbish weather meant we were basically confined to the caravan. Wouldn't bother with this site again. May be fine for folk who are content with sitting round a pond fishing.

Lovely place , lake is small with well maintained swims. Carp are in great condition and there's some real crackers in there.
