We've had 4 nights here. And enjoyed it. The staff are trying to cope with the Covid 19. Distancing and they are doing well. This is our second visit to the grand and we'll be back before Christmas. Thanks
Needs updating in some areas, it's lost all it's former glory.evening meal is a bit basic abit like school dinners. Soup starter, choice of three mains, dessert of rice pudding and jam or shop brought tarts.breakfast was alot better with a choice of full English or continental. covid 19 safe in all area's, plenty of hand sanitizer's in all area's.note check in time is 4pm not 3pm as advertised.hotel has no parking only on street Which can get very full
Just spent a couple of nights away at the grand. There's plus and minus points to it as with anywhere i guess. Its an old hotel, that stands out, very dated and seriously could do with a good refurb. Overall stay though was very good, we had a room with a sea view and was a stunning view. Lovely comfy bed. Lock on the bathroom door broken which could have been fixed in minutes by maintenance. Stairs in the main building needed a serious clean!! Go as far to say they were filthy!! Breakfast was very good with a decent choice. Reception staff were very polite and helpful for the whole stay.
No effort made on this place sad and dirty ,can't even be bothered to clean windows ,what a shame,obviously people stay here so sort it out ,I don't mind a dive but thank God we only booked one night
Beautiful place to visit. Enjoyed the weather and quiet promenade by the sea side. The water weave and fresh air from the sea are very relaxing and beautiful to experience.
