Refurbishing PI,smell and dust from wood being drill,builders set fire alarm off, not informed this was a false alarm.

Yesterday on 30/08/2020 we check in even late around 4:30pm and our rooms were booked for 2:30pm but we went to sea side first and got late even the receptionist call us to confirm what time we ll check in and I told them around 4pm but arount 4:30 when we stepped in we were shocked to know one of our kids room not ready yet but the rest of 2 rooms are ready anyway I wasn't expecting that. Rooms were clean tidy but the fan was not in good condition. It was OK at the end I would say.
This Premier Inn has very nice rooms. But the things I don't really like is that it has fans instead of air conditioning and you use to keys to open doors which is a bit dated so could you try and update the hotel so there can be big fans on the celing or air conditioning because it would make the room much more cooler and please do add fans or air con in bathroom because when you have the shower you have to close the door which makes it really hot so add a fan or air con in the bathroom if you can. When I slept I got 8 hours which is amazing so overall good holiday.😃
Hotel is fantastic, lovely staff, & nice and quiet. Adjoining pub is very hit and miss though, are there evening of weds 28/10, awful staff and poor food. Had breakfast the next morning and it was the polar opposite.
