On our travels we have been staying in quite a few B&Bs, but none of them have been as luxurious, comfortable and unique as Zig Zag Cottage. The building is from 1780 and absolutely beautiful. We had a seperate breakfastroom downstairs, from where cast-iron spiral stairs lead to the livingroom, bathroom (with a lovely powershower) and bedroom upstairs. With a garden to sit in and a little balcony off the livingroom. All done up in an amazing fashion. The breakfast is as lavish as you want it to be and served at the time that suits you (on our last day we needed to leave early to catch the ferry to Holland and 06.30 was no problem). The people running Zig Zag Cottage are delightful and have an interesting past, which shows in the way they have decorated the cottage. What is equally surprising is the price they charge. For all this comfort you'ld expect to pay more than average, instead it costs less than your average B&B or hotel. We definately make this our regular stop when we go to the UK!
