White Lion Royal Hotel

£22 including breakfast. Amazing value! The room was comfortable. Note that there is no lift. It was very clean and tidy. Service was good. Free parking at rear.

Very recomendable hotel. Cute, Nice service, really good breakfast and the Bala Lake is so so close! They have their own parking, but as it was full I parked outside, free to park till 9 in the morning. If you visit this town, try to go walking to see the sunrise in the lake. Stunning :)

Despite arriving near to 9pm on a Saturday we were able to get a table to ourselves promptly after providing details for tracing. The app was easy to use and we received our food and drink quickly. A few things weren't in stock but given the time that wasn't unexpected. We had great customer service from everyone, most notably a young lady with blonde hair that brought us our order. Would definitely come back and happy to recommend.

We stayed here just before the lockdown. Really nice friendly pub with great staff. The food is excellent and also the room we stayed in was really good. I would highly recommend, we will definitely be back!

Stayed in bala for 3 night previous to staying in this hotel (Plas Yn Dre If you can get in we would highly recommend). Lovely area, we wanted to stay another night in the hotel we were in but they were fully booked. We booked into the white lion royal hotel...it was a big mistake. We will start by saying the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, but the room we stayed in was awful. First of all; considering the pandemic, there was no soap to wash our hands in the sink. A big hole in the wall by the window. Dust under all the furniture. Mould in the grout lines in the bathroom, and around the bath. Stale smoke smell throughout the room. All in all it just felt so dusty and sticky that we walked around the room with our shoes on, and only took them off to sleep. Didn't have a good night's sleep at all because of the dust, my husband struggled at times and had to take his asthma pump. You could hear everything that was happening out on the corridor, in the rooms above and below in the main restaurant. The breakfast was OK nothing to get excited about but we ate it. Staff at breakfast were great rushed off there feet but genuine and kind. We were expected to pay £105 a night for this. So we complained while checking out, told them all our concerns and didn't pay the full amount. We certainly wouldn't recommend this place and definitely won't be staying again.
