Lovely friendly staff who made us very welcome in spite of impending new lockdown restrictions. Beautiful light, airy room. Very comfortable and warm. Wonderful breakfasts, kept us going all day Thank you to all the staff.

As a restaurant it was a pleasant surprise how nice the Sunday lunch was. Probably best to book if busy. Very dog friendly and we were made to feel most welcome with our dog. Quality food at reasonable price and the staff were friendly too. Definitely worth a visit with the dog if you’re in the area!

Sorry but very disappointed with the place tonight, booked a table for 9 for 7pm, had to queue to order food and drinks, only one person serving drinks and taking orders which is ok during present COVID. Ordered food at 7.20 after 15 min wait, our starters didn’t come till nearly 8.30, the main meal was still not with us at 9.20. We We’re not informed of any waiting time, we had 7 children with us. They brought the meal and got a kids meal wrong and had to take it away then completely forgot another main meal. The food was all microwaved which again is fine we knew it wasn’t cordon bleu, but I asked to see the manager he never came nor the owner who was there. When I spoke to the Young bar man he said he was the night manager and sorry but they had just been really busy, but they took the booking but we’re churning out take aways as well. I spent over £200 this evening and their attitude was well it’s not our fault, but it was, they didn’t have enough staff and took to many bookings and take aways. I am all for allowances but was very disappointed with the whole evening, as the food was soo late we were not allowed to order deserts. I did get a refund for two late meals which came to £15 but our oldest grandchild ate on his own then left most of it as we needed to go as the little one was soo tired.
