A reliable pint when waiting for a train, often stop here after a night out as it's convenient and reasonably priced

Great place for a beer whilst killing some time.
Walked in on the off chance really,and was pleasantly surprised at the ambiance of the pub,especially bearing in mind it's close proximity to the railway station.I think it's fair to say the place had been let go a bit ,and the clientele of the past were a bit unsavoury, but now it's been cleaned up ,to do jobs are being tackled, and bar staff are pleasant,beer was good;Guinness was spot on which is a good benchmark in most places I think,along with cider and lager had by the four of us all finding favour. New clientele ( from my last visit being years since ) all relaxed and having a good time.
Returned a week later to find all as good as previous week.
Well done to the manager/owner and staff.we will return
