I had a wonderful stay at the Cheltenham Lawn hotel. My room was beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Thank you Anthea and husband! You were delightfully warm and friendly hosts. Will definitely stay again, should the need arise.

Great nights stay, beds were very comfy and rooms well decorated. The breakfast was nice and tasty, and the owners catered for us well and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Would we go back? Yes and will do soon.

I stayed here a few years back and still remember this place and Anthea as it was such a bad experience. She lied to me I’d have peace and quiet as I needed to write and she gave me a tiny room that faced the pub where music and revellers were right opposite the room until very late at night. When I complained she was so nice then came knocking on my door asking if i’d pay in full as she was cashing up. Stupidly I did and the next morning hours before check out time she banged on my door shouting ‘get out, it’s check out, ‘ making me shake as she was so aggressive. She started yelling at me and threatened me with her husband or partner if I didn’t leave right there and then. She was raging to him on the phone, like a mad woman. The hotel is down trodden, the room beddings are old and she’s just crazy weird - if I was you I’d avoid this place at all costs and save yourself her spite
