Pleasant to stay, some nice touches here and there. I liked the room and the shower was perfect. Breakfast buffet is just fine, not impressive. Good staff

Stayed here a few times for work, reasonably priced. Check in is found in there Pub/ Restaurant which has always served up great ales and tasty food. Also been here since the lockdown has eased they have everything in place for a safe stay (well that's how I felt) plus food at the restaurant can be ordered from your table using your phone! Why wasn't that in place before great way to order.

The staff were great both in the lodge and in the main hotel. When booking I did not realise the difference between the two, but it all worked well. We asked if a room could be provided after our check out as we needed to change later in the day to more formal clothes, and everyone was so helpful and couldn't do enough. I stayed at another guest house the week before in Fareham that was also great, and such good value for money. For me, the guest house is perhaps more my style rather than a more formal hotel setting, but you can't go wrong here for the money. Two possible things to watch for: we had a ground floor room but at the back, so no problem, not sure what a room at the front would be like. Also, as a vegetarian, the food in the bar was very limited and I did not realise there was another restaurant in the main hotel that would have better selection. We had lunch there the next day, and it was very good, a bit pricey but the food was good quality. I would not hesitate to book here again.
