Very good Covid safety in place. Serving/waiting staff were excellent and challenged non mask wearers. Felt safe and well looked after.

Was in there last night! What a great little friendly place. Its clean, tidy and just not a tourist ripoff! Was just like a step back to the old days of finding a great real pub! Well worth a visit!

Very overpriced beer, London prices. The outdoor area with the TV is okay, but my experience with the staff in particular was a problem. There is a landlord that seemingly wonders about giving people the worst looks, making everyone feel uncomfortable. I'm assuming he's the owner or the top landlord there and has probably never been challenged on his behaviour for many years, but he came across as very confrontational and he got in the way of the entrances by occasionally floating about sometimes picking up glasses I could well have handed back over to the bar myself. The younger staff members were absolutely great, but there was something about the way that landlord looked at us that made us feel like we were doing something wrong or weren't wanted there. Won't be going there again for this reason.

We could have stayed there all day, The bar was clean an comfortable. The music was great and service was brill....the price was average for Winchester...... thanks

Quick and friendly service, also very reasonable priced (didn't have to wait over half an hour and then had to chase my drink like in Royal Oak!)
