Had a great meal with friends in their outside heated marquee. Between us we had the Steak and Kidney Pie and a Fish Pie, both were outstanding and very filling. It’s really good to have a good country pub that keeps consistent standards over the years.

Went for lunch. All social distancing procedures in place. Did not really see inside as we sat outside. We sat on the patio but they do have a lovely big garden. Our food was lovely, and the staff were really helpful and made a point of explaining the taste of the game dish. Lovely lunch would thoroughly recommend.

Great vegan options! Really happy to see 3 vegan items on the menu.. I went for a butternut squash and red onion tagine which was 10/10! Really generous portions, we took some home in a tub for later. Staff were really friendly and were great with Covid restrictions, track and trace, one way system etc.

Have been here several times and am never disappointed. Food is fantastic, service is excellent and the atmosphere is warm. Hope you all stay safe over lockdown part 2.

Chose the Hinton Arms due to its vicinity to the National Trusts Hinton Ampner. There was plenty of parking outside as well as lots of external sheltered tables. The menu was larger than expected. The portions were larger than we expected too. I had the homemade Haddock fish cakes and my friend had the homemade cheese burger and they were both absolutely delicious! The service was polite and efficient. They seemed quite busy and the waitress was constantly in demand. As much as we like supporting the National Trust, we will be back to do some more walking on the grounds and back here to sample more from the fabulous menu!!
