Lovely setting and a great full English. Also very quiet which is nice, v cafes with loud music. However, the avocado on toast felt like it was a joke. One slice of toast and a quarter of an avocado sliced on it. Literally nothing else. For £5.25. Also one slice of toast with the full English. These things cost pence. Why not go crazy and put 2 slices down? Might cost you an extra 3p to do so.

A lovely traditional pub, just off the main thoroughfare, overlooking the cathedral. We walked there so I’m not sure about local parking. We had a table booked on a Friday evening. The food was excellent, we had a main & dessert, absolutely delicious! I had a well done sirloin steak, with peppercorn sauce, followed by a butterscotch treacle sponge and custard...mmm! Sat and finished with a couple of pints of Guinness and enjoying the ambience, until we had to leave as the the table was booked for another group. Service was good and intend to return in the very near future. A service charge was also included in the bill.

We stayed in the Annexe opposite the pub for a night, really enjoyed the change of scenery. Lovely place, it's worth saying that it has an allocated parking garage and also it is a three storey property with lots of winding stairs. Very comfortable and homey. Central positioning and of course a great bonus of being close to the pub, of which does superb food served by friendly staff.

Great food and drinks here. The location is perfect, opposite the Cathedral. Dog friendly in the bar which serves food. A wonderful traditional restaurant, proper cooking and options for everyone inc. vegan and vegetarian. Also good for light lunches or just a drink. The restaurant is popular, best to book. Bar walk-ins fine. COVID precautions very good. My go to Winchester place, always take my visitors there and they always love it. Service is quick and friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love this place, the atmosphere is really nice. I had the cottage pie which was excellent and I also tried what was possibly the best sausage roll I ever had! Staff was also really nice.
