Having just moving into Winchester I stumbled across the Greenman. A lovely old pub serving amazing artisan cheese's and fantastic cured meat platters during COVID. Definitely recommend this place if you haven't been in recently.
Limited beer selection but good vibe and pool table
What a fabulous bar manager! She kept us entertained all afternoon! Coming back!
Had a party for thirty people booked since early October. I have contacted the pub 6 times for a menu and an order form to no avail. Today I called and was informed they couldn't see my booking in the system. When I requested to speak to a manager, they said they were too busy and could not even guarantee a call back when they were finished with dinner service. Appalling management, customer service and organization. I would request that the owner please leave their email address so I can speak to them about this matter.
EDIT: I was promised a call back by Monday December 23rd but received no further communication from the pub despite being told it was the manager's "top" priority.
Grand atmosphere, great thoughtfull decor, frienly staff, canny food and a good range of beers a wee bit pricey but that's the Chester the chester of Whin
