Great out of the way Hotel. The Hotel has jaded charm, the service is excellent during these difficult times. Tucked away in a side street the location is quiet, but central for all the amenities that Winchester has to offer. Ours was a Garden Room, plenty of space, a big bed and a nice view, breakfast was good. Rooms are typical modern hotel standard, but could now do with a bit of TLC, otherwise very adequate. Car park, at a cost, was a bonus. Would recommend for a short break.

Great location. Covid protective measures did not impact on service or quality. Helpful staff. Historic building with most rooms in a modern extension. They are a decent size and quiet at night. Decor slightly dated but very clean. Bath and shower. Daily top ups of tea etc in room.

Clean hotel and room. Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Quiet night; outdoors and in the hallways - no disturbances. Terrific location and very reasonable price. I would stay there again.

Positives: This is a lovely, clean hotel right in the heart of Winchester. The rooms are are bright and fresh and the beds are comfortable. Negatives: Parking spaces are not guaranteed. When we arrived, car park was full. We asked at reception and they suggested we paid to park a 5 minute walk away. When got to the room we noticed another carpark which had spaces. When we asked about the second car park at reception, they said they hadn't bothered to mention it as they thought it was full. We had a drink in the hotel bar and when we went to get the drinks charged to the room we waited a good few minutes at the bar without being once acknowledged by the 2 members of staff behind the bar. Very disappointing service. The TV in the room didn't work. All in all it was quite a disappointing stay right from the start. A real pity as we had paid more for this hotel especially for the parking and its good ratings.

Great food. Very polite staff. Fair Clean. Historical building. Service was really good. It would been excellent experience a part from a member of staff that did not use mask because of medical conditions. Could use visor or dont have contact with public.
