Love a bit of pub grub Royal Oak Pub Winchester. Excellent COVID-19 precautions with contact tracing and app to order the food minimizing contact. App was hassle free and quick to order.
The steak and ale pie was excellent and mash the mash potato cooked to perfection. How ever the peas and broccoli were slightly over cooked. The Fish and chips were massive, cooked well and flaky. Again the veg was over cooked. Over all the food and service was very good. Most of all the Royal Oak was DOG FRIENDLY š

Very charming old building and the staff very friendly. We ordered a burger that tasted great, just a bit on the small side. Nice place to grab a quick lunch

Fantastic old pub down a quaint old alley. Such lovely staff, great service and good food. Would definitely go again if I was in the area.
The pub is nice and the staff was very friendly. They had a good drink selection. I would not recommend their food. The chips, hallume, roasted vegetable and Yorkshire pudding were so greasy! Bland and oily. The steamed vegetables were overcooked. We couldnāt eat all.
