Friendly landlord and we had a great meal - traditional English pub grub. Interesting pub - check out the well and wheel inside. Nice to eat outside as well.

Welcoming and friendly landlord. Ideally placed on the South Downs Way for cyclists and walkers. Also close to Hinton Ampner National Trust house and gardens.
A proper, old fashioned, irresistible English Pub. I stopped there when walking the South Downs for lunch. Generous plate, good ale and what a place, filled with antiques! Check out the 200 year old treadmill...
Great pub, welcoming and socially distanced service. Fantastic ham egg and chips and homemade curries too. 3 real ales on tap too! What more could a person want?
